Theta Chi National Fraternity (Theta Lambda chapter) was founded at Bloomsburg in 1988. The chapter turned local and 1997 and became Theta Chi Lambda, and was later colonized as Alpha Tau Omega in 2003. In 2021 the organization chose to return to its roots as a local fraternity. They thoughtfully chose their new name to honor their original local fraternity Theta Chi Lambda.

Their values are Courage, Wisdom, and Respect, and their colors are black, crimson, and gold. Currently, they have over 490 initiated members and are on their 42nd pledge class.

Their philanthropy supports pancreatic cancer, autism awareness, and breast cancer awareness.

Prominent alums include Geisor and anyone from Bangor lineage.
